Accident Analysis
Slow Heat Conduction | Top Problems
1、Not followed by the preheating instruction standardly. | 1、Slag accumulated around the top area or in between of the top area and the furnace cover.
2、Slag influences heat conduction. | 2、Repeatedly top-impact when feeding.
3、The crucible has reached its lifetime. | 3、Excessive oxidaion on top.
4、Connecting with some metals with large heat exchanging coefficients.
Corrosion | Explosion | |
1、Adding flux when the crucible is empty or with slug,Excessive use of flux. | 1、Heating rapidly while the crucible has damped during storage or transportation.
2、Certain fluxes contain corrosive substances. | 2、The added materials are not completely dried.
3、Fuel containing corrosive substances. | 3、Overrapid heating-up during preheating procedure.
4、Abnormal high-temperature operation may result in molten glaze layer resembles corrosion.
Excessive Oxidation | Middle or Bottom Parts Problems
1、Hoisting or moving irregularly damages glaze layer. | 1、The crucible is not installed properly. It should be put in the middle of the furnace stack, smooth and stable.
2、Flame dashes against bottom directly. | 2、A suited graphite stand is unutilized.
3、No corresponding electric heating circles around the top or bottom of the crucible. | 3、Metal materials added overfilled,or metal ingots horizontally, diagonal in the crucible.
4、The top of the crucible is not protected by upturned flame and isolated from oxygen in gas furnace. | 4、Leftover slag or molten metal in the crucible.
5、Overheated working temperature. | 5、The existence of temperature difference in furnace stack.
